Summer 2024 : Tests with Le CEDRE

This summer, FOST was in Brest as both an observer and a participant in the equipment tests organised by CEDRE. 

• Drone tests (July).

• Dispersant spray arm tests (late July).

Tests conducted with the market reference dispersant FINASOL OSR52.

The aim of these tests was to measure spray plume quality, surface cover quality, spray plume overlap and uniformity of cover, as well as to obtain deposition measurements.

The results (pending) of CEDRE’s study on these spray arms are expected to confirm FOST’s choice for the acquisition of a dispersant spray arm system to complete the Offshore pack available for hire from FOST.
