Our Staff

An agreement is in place between TotalEnergies and the City of Marseille, which provides staff on secondment from the Marseille Naval Fire Battalion (BMPM).

Under the terms of this agreement:

• Two Naval Firefighters and two Civilians run the centre and maintain the equipment,
• The centre’s permanent staff transport and deploy the equipment in the event of a spill,
• Up to 30 additional BMPM firefighters can be called in for backup and be rapidly dispatched to the spill site,
• Practical and theory training courses are provided for BMPM staff with FOST equipment.

TotalEnergies is the decision-maker and leads FOST’s strategy and operations.

The Company has chosen to draw on the skills of the Marseille Naval Fire Battalion (BMPM).
