Technical Assistance and Training in Republic of Congo

May 2025: CONGO

A team from FOST travelled to the Republic of the Congo to conduct a Technical Assistance mission for the TotalEnergies subsidiary in Pointe-Noire, involving:

• An onshore survey of two 10-km stretches carried out on foot, in two zones identified as potential impact areas,
• An inventory and tests of spill response equipment with the teams at the Industrial Base and in Djeno,
• Deployment of the offshore boom on land with firefighters from the Industrial Base,
• An IMO level 1 training course for subsidiary personnel (23 participants).
